Our Story

AllThingsMINI started with a comment in a Facebook group during the spring of 2020.

I was part of a Michigan MINI community — a couple thousand passionate owners sharing photos, stories, and the kind of enthusiasm that only MINI people understand. Looking at the flood of great shots being posted every day, I made an offhand observation: "We post so many amazing pictures — we should make a calendar."

The response caught me off guard. Everyone loved the idea.

I told the group the timing wasn't right, but I'd come back to it. That fall, I followed through. The first Michigan MINI Calendar launched in 2021 — and I've produced one every year since.

But this wasn't just any calendar.

From the very beginning, the calendar was built around the community that inspired it. Monthly hero photos are selected from owner submissions. Owners who submit photos get to reserve specific dates that matter to them — a birthday, an anniversary, the day they brought their MINI home. They can name their car and have that nickname included on the page. Every calendar is a reflection of real people and real MINIs, not just pretty pictures selected by a designer behind a desk.

Very much like the MINI itself, the calendar has personality — because the community puts it there.

Then came the push to think bigger.

After five years of producing a Michigan-focused calendar, I told one of my sponsors I thought it had run its course. He disagreed — strongly. "Think bigger," he said.

So I did. In 2025 I took the calendar global, reaching MINI communities across the country and around the world. Nearly 1,200 photos were submitted. The 2026 Best of MINI Calendar was the result — a worldwide celebration of the cars, the owners, and the shared passion that makes MINI unlike anything else on the road.

AllThingsMINI grew out of that same spirit.

The store exists because MINI owners are a different kind of driver. They didn't just buy a car — they chose character over conformity, connection over compromise. They lean into corners when everyone else is looking for the straightest line.
